The Winter of 2022-23 brought record snow to Snowbasin. By the time the resort closed in late April, more than 600 inches had fallen on Mt. Ogden. Throughout Utah, by the end of winter, the mountains held the most water content recorded in at least 33 years. (The detailed recording processes used today started in 1980). This is great news for skiers and snowboarders, water skiers and wake boarders, our local farmers, and the state’s ecology in general. It also created a winter landscape that as of early April seemed like it would never go away. Here is a collection of photos from mid-March 2023.
